Galaxy Y S5360 and SDcard with cwm-madteam-galaxY.zip inside it.Place this file directly on SDcard, not inside any folder.

Turn off your device make sure you have inserted SDcard in it,that contains cwm-madteam-galaxY.zip file.
Turn on your Galaxy Y S5360 in recovery mode.To do this hold following keys "Volume UP+Home+Power".Release them as phone starts up.
In recovery mode use "Volume UP-DOWN" buttons to scroll and "HOME" button to select.
Now Select the second option that says "Apply update from sdcard"
Point to cwm-madteam-galaxY.zip and select it.A few seconds later you will see Clockworkmod recovery.

D'OH, got my hopes up LOL.

But yes. +1 your cwm as a work around works very well ;-)

Good luck with development, when you've the time.  Take your time ;-) luckily this device as stock, and rooted isn't too much of a pain. But it'll be awesome when the day comes, that we have cm on it :-X
